Apologies for being so quiet of late: I've been too busy actually gardening to write about it too! But I'm too excited not to share a quick update... I just noticed that my coffee beans are ripening! I was outside a few minutes ago, brandishing the hose, and while spraying clean the boardwalk caught a flash of red in the water. A coffee bean! The beans have turned red on only one bush so far; the other four have small green beans still. At this rate I'll be able to open my own cafe in... oh... 2020!
I promise to update properly later in the week. The NZ Gardener reader open weekend is now just 7 days away and I've got loads to do before then!
Happy gardening.

Hi Lynda, always enjoy seeing and hearing about your garden, and the get growing newsletter too.
you might be interested in a new networking site: www.ooooby.com, designed to connect home gardeners, and to make the most of abundant produce, set up by a keen gardener on waiheke.
Keep up the good work!

Just wonder, you have your coffee plant in the garden?
How big do they grow?
